AlertBlast: An Innovative Solution for Alyssa’s Law

What is Alyssa’s Law?

Alyssa Alhadeff was only 14 years old when she lost her life during the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Valentine’s Day 2018. She was among 17 killed in the brutal massacre. Alyssa’s Law is a critical legislation, co-written by her parents, meant to address the issues of law enforcement communication and response times during any life-threatening emergency on school property.

How it Works

Simply stated, the law calls for the installation of silent panic alarms that are directly linked to law enforcement, so in case of any emergency, they will get on the scene as quickly as possible, take down a threat, and triage any victims.

How We Address Alyssa’s Law Requirements

AlertBlast Solutions for Alyssa's Law
  • On-Premise Phone with One-Button Alert
  • Silent Intercom
  • Connected Panic Button
  • Mobile Phone App with One-Button Alert

Our solutions for Alyssa's Law center around our AlertBlast product, a revolutionary cloud-based alert notification application. Administrators of AlertBlast create pre-programmed alerts based on need or situation, allowing a multitude of end points, such as phones, access pads, tablets, panic buttons, or mobile phones to be used as triggers that send alert notifications to authorities or just on-site personnel.  Alerts are extremely customizable, allowing for pre-recorded messages to be played for those receiving the call. After a message is played, the microphone on the phone is set to broadcast only, allowing the recipients to hear anything happening around the phone. Most importantly, these alerts can all be accomplished without any indication that an alert has been sent or that the phone is connected to a call.
